Maybe the shock loadings, from the car bouncing up and down on the rollers, imparts more potential?

Generally they will Add more weight if it has traction problems... But unless your pushing over 400rwhp.. that shouldnt be an issue.

If you can get a set of smaller diameter, lighter wheels then you'll get a better figure. There's less rotational inertia to overcome, but will only really work for shoot-out mode where the rpm varies quickly.
