Hey, I'm a new user and need help urgently. I recently crashed my Soarer... Sobs ;( The shell is wrecked on the driver’s side, but every other panel on the car is good. Everything else to the car is good, no damages. I been quoted and been told the car was a write-off because the roof is creased and the door. So approx how much should I sell the car as is. Cheers Adriana

Don't you have insurance, if so what will they give you? If not then you may get 2 or 3 grand for parts if you're willing to strip them off yourself. All depends on quality and demand of course.

If you have some technical background and patience you would be better off stripping the car for parts.
As long as they are in good condition, things like power steering pumps, air con screen bit, air con compressor, wheels, transmission... yadda yadda i would think all put together may end up catching you an extra grand or so. I'm sure someone will be able to give a better idea though.
If it were me and you can take this option; wreckers! =P You wont have to wait for someone to want a half cut (the other way of half cut! ;) ), you get cash upfront, before you give it to them you can salvage pits like the headlights, parts i listed above etc, for your NEXT Soarer! ;)

If you've got your own place where no one will bother about having car parts littering the joint then you'll be ok otherwise others may complain of the mess. Just be aware of that aspect.
