I am afraid Rob hit it on the head. These things were (and still are at some place) around the $295 mark. I've sent PM's to Benny and Patrick about this before and happy to share the problem here.
Basically I spent ages attempting to find a supplier for these at a much cheaper price. I couldn't see why it should cost anyone $295 for a set of clears especially where you can obtain ones for skylines etc at quarter of the price for effectively a similar sort of product.
Unfortunately the Crystal Project Clear Lenses are the only brand I have been able to source so far. The sell price of $185 is actually almost the same as my buy price. Given this I can understand why they sell for $295 retail normally.
For me I took the option to sell them basically at cost from the perspective that it would be a draw card for Soarer owners to the Import Scene who then may purchase other items which would make the transaction worthwhile.
As some form of consolation to Patricks recent request I've put up one pair on the sellitfast auction site for $1 start and no reserve so at least someone will walk away with at least one set potentially below cost. Why do that? Well same promotional reasons. I don't mind selling off the odd product here and there at a loss on the sellitfast site as a promotional tool to hopefully get people to use it to their benefit (as its free) and to gain more exposure to my other auction items and Jeff's etc.
In fact I'd like to know why people haven't taken advantage of the free service to date but I'll ask that question in the auction thread if you want to participate so not to get off topic here.
So the final word (at least from my supplies) is that I'd love to do something for your guys for the clears however commercially it makes no sense to do so. I hope you guys understand. If the situation changes and another brand presents itself that I can source which is cheaper then I'll certainly let you know. Until then my hands are tied on this product specifically in relation to a group buy.
