| Driving home in the rain on the freeway last night i nearly killed myself... came around a shallow bend on the freeway and the car aquaplaned sideways and I slid up onto the 45 degree banking sideways missing about 5 trees... landed up in the service lane with the car in a heap. Smashed the bodykit to bits all around, buckled a wheel, dented the door, smashed one of the cannons, smashed the intercooler piping and busted the radiator Looks like a write off.... then having the copper do me for EPA (2 intake mods, too low, worn tyres)when I was sitting on the side of a road shaking after nearly killing myself was great fun. I'm buying it back off of the Insurers and fixing it up as it's just had a fortune spent on it for upgrades not a happy day. anyone with a stock very quiet exhaust with cats etc that I can borrow I would be very grateful also looking for a stock airbox and piping |

| He said to me - 20000 people drive past and you're the one that ends up sliding sideways up the bank... I have to admit - I see his logic, but he didn't have to be a sarky prick about it. When I got in the tow truck - the driver told me that it was the second car he has picked up from the same place that day. |

Very upsetting news. |

Yeah I'm fine - was a bit spun out yesterday (in more ways than one!) Had a chat with Barry about getting it back on the road - feel a bit more cheery about it now! Thanks for the offer mate - next step is top get it off the insurers and see how bad it is!! |

| Don't know if anyone has thought of this yet but... If you have a defect on your car, bald tyres for one and you destroy the car in an accident in wet weather, 99% chance the insurnace company wont pay out as the car was unroadworthy and they will say tyres caused the accident. Sorry to hear about it mate, funny thing is, Shaun is offering you a SMIC, the SMIC has is your old one that I gave to him, now he's (probably unknowingly) offering it back to you, that SMIC of yours is a whore, everyone's had a go lol. |

| Sorry to hear about your accident Matt, BUT you just spent ra whole lot of money on mods but you are running on bald tyres? Why didn't you spend the money on some good tyres instead? I don't mean to sound callous, I'm just curious to know Also if the cop had a heart he would have let you off with a warning, you didn't hurt anyone, and you just had a big loss so its not like you need more grief! |

| The tyres are only worn on the very inside edge from the previous owner, and I don't run with heaps of angle like he did... The part that is worn isn't in contact with the road. When I slid, it was the back that went |

| Some cops are c*nts, dead set. Sounds like you got the same cop that defected me for white LED parking lights. I had a similar issue when a friend wrote his car off on a cruise through Jamberoo in Wollongong. The first thing the cops said when they arrived on scene to see a written of Silvia, and 1 Skyline, and 2 180sx's sitting there was "Hey fella's, looks like a little too fast, too furious hey...." At that point I turned around to the officer and bluntly said "you are either going to help us clean up and make the situation safe, of f-off". Sorry to hear about the car, hopefully it wont be long before your back on the road with it. B. |

| When i had my accident in July, i slid off the road down into a ditch and into a barbed wire fence, thus writing the Soarer off. When the cops arrived an hour later they seemed to be on my side all the time. Sure it was on a straight stretch of road, i think they were more confused as to how i got my car in there in the first place rather than openly branding me an idiot and dishing the sarcasm. They didnt even check the car for bald tyres or anything. They were helpful and friendly and wanted to make sure both myself and my misses were ok. The unfortunate thing is not all cops are like that and i certainly had my fair share of wanker cops whilst back in the Honda Civic days. Its very easy for the cops to make a quick misjudgement upon a driver because of their cars appearance. However, Brian does make a good call about himself giving the cops back what they deserve from a disrespectful cheeky comment. Respect ! |

| Matt I should be able to loan you a stock airbox setup for the EPA test. Would need to swap your pod/intake pipe for the day though so the car can still be driven (Will take it off my brothers TT ). Let me know when your ready to take it in. I just recently bought the stock airbox for this exact purpose! |

| Also, Matt will need the first stock FMIC pipe to go over the airbox as his FMIC kit pipe doesn't work. That is a bit of a pita. Just LEAVE your pod on, and do what I did, just drop the FMIC core and borrow the 3" straight pipe I have, bolt it in place of the FMIC core and that will reduce you back to 1 induction mod, I passed my EPA test with this You are welcome to it whenever you like. |

| Some cops are good, some cops are mongrels. I have met both types, and I have all the time, repsect, and care for the good ones, but I tell you what, the arses better watch out, because I am not scared to give back what I am given. Police in general will get 100% respect from me until they show which side they are from (the good or evil), but fair is only fair. B. |

Technically you still have 2 modified inductions (you replaced the stock cooler and piping with straight through aliminium piping) Therefore its been modified, but all is good as it seems to work anyway |

OF course that's right however they look it as a backward step in terms of mods and pass it, let me tell you I much prefer bolting in 3" pipe rather than removing inner guard and re-doing that first intercooler pipe. |
