Hi guys, I need your help. I have had my Soarer for over a year. I bought it from a dealer who got it in from Japan for me. Its now only got just under 100,000 k's on the clock (99,700 or something). Its a 94 black Twin Turbo - i paid about 15 grand for it. The only thing I have done to this car is put new wheels on. No other mods at all. Here's some pictures:
Its had a service every 5,000 k's and these have been put into a log book.
Now here is my problem. I am wanting to reluctantly sell my baby. There are a few things that need to be fixed up on her but I don't have the time to do it so I am planning to sell it as it is. Here are the things:
- some minor electrical issues (windows stopped working, cd player sometimes has a mind of its own)
- The boot doesn't stay up when you open it
- I put 18' wheels on it and when i turn sharp angles I can sometimes hear a scrapping sound
- I reversed into a tree some time ago and there is minor damage (photo below)
Apart from those things, she drives beautifully and looks great.
So what I would like to know is:
How much do you think I could sell it for in its current condition?

the boot is an easy fix - regas the struts. Will cost you like $50
scraping sounds come from the wheel guards. Make sure they're clipped / screwed in properly.
Without looking at the cd player and windows i can't say what the problem could be. I'd say check the connectors first for both. If its an aftermarket headunit check to see if the wires are connected properly. Make sure that you are using the correct ground point for the headunit.
After that get some touch up paint. Sell it for $11k. Considering you have the 97 taillights and its a rare colour i wouldn't sell it for anything less.

Hence why i suggest you fix those issues. Personally they all seem rather minor to me apart from the bodywork but you can patch it up with the right skills.

For a few bucks, fix up the things you can.
Don't get a reputation for being a bad seller, as the buyer may end up here and slag off at you, especially if he/she reads this thread and sees that you knew what was wrong and tried to hide it.

i never ripped off anyone here so far..... lol, dont worry the disks are perfectly fine lol.
nah man i am jst telling him that those things arnt really a big issue. i mean the car is 13 years old, cant have everything and these days the buyers will look at anything to put the price down, so why tell them whats wrong when they arnt a big prob.
few years back when my bro was selling his 98 prelude, ppl were trying to find anything to put the price down. the car had no mechanical faults at all, my brother never had to take it to the mechanic for anything, so what they start doing....they start telling him off about little stone chips at the front lol WTF. so thats why i am telling Vaughan to keep it to him self, coz the prob might even find it them selves.

Considering all things, if you fix nothing I'd say atleast $10,500. If you fix the minor things that don't cost much you could easily get close to $13,000 out of her. She is beautiful, makes me really miss mind
