Hi guys,
This is probably far too late to be asking heh, but I have a lady on the way from The Gold Coast (to Brisbane/Greenslopes where I am) with a v8 Limited for a very cheap price, I've been trying mechanics all morning to get one to look at it without luck...
Is anyone not busy today and feels like coming over to have a look? (she'll be here in around 1 hour) I can pay them if need be.. don't have to be a mechanic, just soarer minded heh

That said, I bought the first Soarer I saw and drove, had it checked by a mechanic, then a week or so later the P/S pump leaked and cost me the double whammy P/S pump and alternator repair.
Still glad I bought it though, if I had known there were so many options, I would still be trying to work out what version to get

I often ponder that option, but at the end of the day, the '30 has much lower maintenance and is a much sportier car to drive. Sure, it won't keep up on the twisties, but I love the lighter and tighter feel of it
Much like Manny's review of driving various models a couple of months back.

I ended up buying the car (I posted this Saturday).. I had a friend go over it but couldn't get it into a shop. It was too cheap to let go till mid this week for a full inspection.. Can anyone reccomend a mechanic in Brisbane to do a full service on it and check it out? (so I know why it was so cheap haha)

Wow, he's cheap .. I think he said $120 or something for the service including oil and filter and stuff. Got it booked in for next Tuesday.. Thanks for the tip!
