I just had an example of an incident where ABS clearly wasn't advantageous. I recently stopped on my wet front lawn and the abs engaged (i suspect due to the fact that the grass was wet and didnt provide good traction). This is the second time I almost drove through the front of my house (I don't always park on the front lawn, although I am a working class boy). So my question is why the hell didn't toyota install wet grass sensors on all soarers?
Furthermore I have these weird skid marks about 50cm apart on my lawn which i'm not to happy about. Obviously I would have preferred one nice skid mark.

ABS does not help where locking the wheels will cause the car to plough in to the surface rather than skidding on top; for example, gravel, snow and possibly dirt. If your grass is thick and soil hard then ABS will have helped compared with just skidding. If the soil is at all soft or exposed then the ABS made things worse ... quite apart from the appalling aesthetics

The sensor expects a deep Japanese green delicately topped with lustrous droplets of water photographed in a dawn light.
For some reason I can hear Grieg's "Morning Mood" from the Peer Gynt Suite softly playing inside my head. Then someone opened up their V8 Soarer and Slayer came along with it.
