Hi guys,
well im pulling my interior apart today so i can spend the weekend painting the brown to black for the classic two tone look.
My passenger side window has not worked for a while (AUG 07) and its only since ive just taken the door trim off that i can hear it CLICK when i press the button but nothing happens.
SO that leads me to believe my window motor is stuffed.. RIGHT?
Next question - how do i pull the bloody thing out !?
I have undone all the bolts around it yet it is still attached via those cable thingos.
once i pull it out is the window going to drop? cos that would be bad.
- YES i have searched. I dont think its the broken wire thing because the window motor IS CLICKING and i thought THAT wire would give power to whole door!
*** also a point to note those boys n girls wanting to use VHT.. my cans seem to be spraying everywhere from where the plastic nozzle bit sticks into the can. May be the cold weather so they are sitting in the sun now.. god i hope i didnt buy 12 dud cans

James i bought a couple of VHT cans when i did mine soley for the carpet, and all of them did exactly what you just said. They were pissing paint out around the base of the nozzle..
I usually use septone Vinyl Paint, bigger cans.
I'll have a look at your end result on the soarer cruise, I've gotta do my interior all over again now I've got a new soarer lol.

I hear ya luke... what a pain in the ass. Well my past 2 cans didnt do it perhaps because i left them in the sun to warm up 1st?

Question - Is it possible to get the motor out from the door without lowering the glass ? This is a lot harder than i thought it was going to be. So all that thick wire stuff needs to come out also hey?
Ahh well... my soarer is in pieces anyways.. i have till the 28th (Cruise time) to get it all sorted

I will get into the damn thing next weekend, and express courier a Motor and all the other •••• up as well, but it's going to take some time getting that garbage out of my car.
