Hmmm, I was quite surprised myself. Will see what happens.
No rush but I'm going to get headers no question!
They are definitely needed, I actually wouldnt do an exhaust without them, Ive finally realized you have to do them if you want the serious gains and sound!
Mike, sorry for the thread re-opening Was really curious to hear the vids of your car with the Audi exhausts and also the BFI video on another thread, cheers.

Hello.
Sure I just have one video of it revving.
It was a 2.25" H pipe cat back system with the two RS6 mufflers on the back.
Sounded pretty good.
My latest system, I'm getting tomorrow should be even better, its a cat back for now but with headers it will be awesome. Using RS4 mufflers and 2.5" tube.

Those RS6 mufflers (in the video)
I got from a guy at a VW/Audi Shop that had a customer upgrade the original system for a louder one.
It was $200 for a full system including Resonators, 2.5" pipe and the big rear mufflers. Was a good deal.
The RS4 ones I found last year, a similar story where a guy had an 2008 RS4 but wanted it louder so took these mufflers off for after market ones, finally bought them off this VW/Audi forum member that had them for $300.
Best way to find them is by joining these sorts of forums.

I sold it to James Johnston on this forum, along with my headers
It was my brother that brought it all and gave the cat back to me for last christmas but kept the extractors for his soarer.
I loved the sound of it when it was just the cat back and stock headders.
Now I have some of Neil's extractors on my car, the exhaust did have to be shortened by about 8 or so inches as the extractors are that much longer than the stock headders and cat's, but now it sounds completly different.
I still love the sound of it at high rpm's as it sounds like nothing else. When it did'nt have the extractors it was perfect as it was'nt droney and made it sound like an american V8.
This sort of set up is quite good and very free flowing as all I have is just those two mufflers in my exhaust and nothing else so I would love to find out just how much more power my car has after fitting this cat back and extractors. I have noticed a big difference in throttle response as after driving my mates new soarer it makes me feel sorry for the poor bum having to drive a slug around of which is missing his radiator at the moment.

Oh by the way the night speed drag wars start here in NZ on November 6th and I hope to have some one there with me with a video camera, so if any one wants to hear it at full tit you will have to either wait till then or fly over here and come see me but when I last went to the drags it was my first time ever and all morning I had no traction but on my last pass for the day I ran a 15.479 with only 225/45/17 wheels and a LSD and that cat back exhaust. My reaction times were shocking but as it was my first time I did'nt know what to do so next time I should expect nearly a full second off my time as ill be running with extractors and some 15 inch wheels with hardly any air in them for maximum traction and it will also be summer time and at the end of a nice hot day and better reaction times after having a chin wag with some people who have given me some pointers, so watch this space!
