The drivers side window thumps when it hits bottom. If I buy a new regulator, is that going to fix the problem?
I've had the old one out and cleaned and lubed it, but the thump persists. I also put some padding under where it stops.
Any thoughts?

Yeah I believe it will.

The clunking occurs when the plastic part on the rail starts breaking, thus getting lose so theres excess movement in the window.

Not a nice problem, I solved mine with better condition regulators from my 3.0GT!

Mike, mine was doing exactly what you're describing, clunking when it hit the bottom.
That went on for roughly 1 month, then one day it feel right through the door.
Now it's obviously cactus and I need a new regulator.
