Ok so i saw a post in another section about Lexus badges. Quite simply state what badges you have and whether you agree with changing to Lexus badges or not. Me, i have Toyota on the back and am thinking of going no badges or possibly just the Lexus logo painted in metallic charcoal on my pearl Soarer Now your turn...

I have Lexus badges, as fitted by the importer from whom I bought it. I agree with doing whatever you feel like doing. In my case, I later bought Soarer and Griffin badges, and then couldn't be arsed with removal/repair/fitting.

Reason i ask i have another idea of putting just a griffin on the back, still not 100% sure if it would look good. But the Lexus badge idea comes about due to having bought my car with the parcel self that was customised to have the Lexus logo and also my horn button on the steering wheel having Lexus written on it. So i wanna keep the car in one theme and its just easier to back the badges on the back off the car than the parcel shelf and horn and buying new items. Really comes down to laziness haha But also interested to see how many people think its a big issue.

I have toyota on on the boot. I was planning to get rid of the ones on the boot and just put a gold griffin on the front. And no i wouldn't change mine to lexus as it would annoy me to much. lol

Mine came with Lexus badges but I have just secured a gryphon badge in mint condition for $30 and plan on putting that on the front when it arrives. I'll eventually get the original 'soarer' and toyota logo's for the back and paint them black. It doesn't bother me what badges people have on their soarer, never really understood why people get so emo about it. Does anybody have some advice on removing the existing front badge and fitting the new one? I don't want to stain or chip the paint when doing it....

I have a debadged boot, got tired of looking at badges. Now you can call it both a Lexus or a Toyota! No exterior Logo's

I have had three Soarers... One with Lexus badges. One totally debadged. One with Toyota badges. At the end of the day I can tell you it makes f@#k all difference and no 'outsiders' (i.e. non-soarer owners ) care or notice what badge is on the car either. I say do what makes you feel special inside

Spot on matt. Mine's got no badges, stickers or anything at all although I think a de-badged car kinda says "Wanna see waht I got under the bonnet? Let's race." Which I think disappoints some people when they see me at the lights.

I have had two with Soarer badges and don't agree with changing to Lexus. If car comes with Lexus badges, well it would be a pain changing back. To my mind the Griffon looks a damn sight better than a mere "L" badge.

A survey was run on a foreign site and, while there have been only 83 responders over several months, the results to date are: Lexus: 37% Griffin: 36% Toyota: 17% Who cares? 10% Unfortunately there was no option for "blank". You could read the above to say "more people preferred Lexus to any other badge" or "most preferred anything but Lexus" or "10% got it right" Notice that people were asked what they preferred, not what they actually had nor whether they would change.

Im actually more interested in what people have on the back. I would never put a Lexus logo on the front, i just dont think it suits the flow of the car. Griffin all the way or nothing at all on the front. But then it got me thinking if i should de-badge the back and put another griffin on (not sure how that will turn out), or painted Lexus logo by itself, or nothing at all. The worst part is im really wanting to get rid of the Toyota logo as there car has Lexus logos on the horn and parcel shelf so it pisses me off to have to brands on the car haha

I think it really depends on what your car looks like. My car looks better with the "L" badge on the back and front (I have pulled them and put Toyota badges on, but put the "L" badges back on after). but iv also got the "Soarer" badge on the left and the "2.5gtt" on the right on the boot. Some cars really suit the Toyota badge and putting "L" badges on them would not be as good. I think it depends on things like wheels and paint color. my two bits.

Unless your car is a Lexus why change to lexus badges and as everyone already knows The Lexus SC300 and SC400 were never made in RHD and never had a 2.5L Turbo engine. A lot of the importers did swap the badges over to Lexus when the cars were first imported so I don't blame anyone for leaving them there but I think its a little bit pretentious changing them over so you can say you drive a Lexus.

Chances are that foreign survey was on a US site where the cars are actually Lexus and everyone there is probably putting Soarer badges on them. |

Here's something to think about... The SC430 (aka Mark IV Soarer) is badged as a Toyota Soarer in Japan but released in Australia as a Lexus SC430. If the mark III was originally released in OZ I bet ya it would have been badged a Lexus. Mines debadged but with Lexus interior cues. In my eyes it's the same company and the build quality is equal to all other vehicles in their Lexus line-up. It deserves to be a Lexus and I reckon if it was released here then it would have been...

According to the build plate & Registration my car is a Toyota Soarer. Therefore I think the Toyota Soarer badges are more accurate so I will stick to that. At the end of the day it does not matter which you choose to fit, your car your choice.
