Ok back from a holiday to Hong Kong, i got $1500 left to spend on whats more or less a stock v8 soarer, do i do the exhaust, do i do the stereo, what would you do to your car if you had a free $1500 what would you do?? |

My vote is 1 Darryn, 2 Ian. You could probably fit them both in. I will not say invest because you say you have already decided to spend.
After that, performance or sound, well it is up to you isn't it? Why do you like the car and what would keep you happy with it longer term? Do you have a spending program or is this it?
Do you have a provision for things which might go wrong (e.g. radiator, steering pump, alternator, air struts)? |

exhaust first! much better than stereo!
unless i cut you a DVD of my car then you can play that in your stereo!
I had my stereo off for a week after i got my headers put on!
plus you can get good sound stereo oout of a lot less money than that, and you can d o ti tin lots of littel stages! but exhaust is either 1 or 2 goes!
$550 for headers, 600 for cats, then pipe work and mufflers. you can alway supgrade to good mufflers later |

Meh to the bank, I need to get rid of the crappy exhaust i did put on there!! Damn droney sounding thing! My mech says he will prob fix up the zorst and the stereo, and the essential stuff! |

invest the money in the mean time strip your car inside and out ready for a full respray and interior retrim and wait till you $1500 turns into $15000 and cash and do all the above and what i said. thats what i would do, oh wait thats what i did.....hehehehe |

Might or not Benny. I just had a drive in another UZZ31 that has just had the exhaust modified. Cat back, straight out with a pair of straight through mufflers. NO drone.
So the drone isn't caused by not having headers.
My guess is that a poorly fitting exhaust will transfer noise into the cabin via the rubber hanger mounts being under stress or they may have even been removed |

I would do the exhaust for sure, we had one on our last soarer it sounded so sexy lol once i have the cash it will be the first thing i do, i found there was a big difference in power too |

Well i get me car back tomorow, ill be interested in seeing what the mech did, i just told him to use his best judgement, i trust him so what ever he does for my baby will be good. |
