Just a quick question, I remember reading some where that if you do a HID conversion you cant do the BFI conversion, is this true? Does the conversion really take up much room ?

Thanks :-)

On the JSM kit, the igniter boxes are barely bigger than a packet of cigarettes, and are easily located out of the way. You can still to a BFI setup with that kit at least. Not sure about other brands and size of the supplied ignitor packs.

can't say I've heard of that before Adam. As Simon says (no pun intended) the JSM kits can be tucked out the way. I think most kits have a fair bit of cable so you can move them out the road...

The cables are easily extended anyway.

Cobblers, Adam . I have the full setup, as Mark does. Absolutely no problem. The cables were long enough on their own.

I used insulated sticky rubber for the BFI enclosure which makes it easy to route wires out of the intake area while retaining a seal. The high beam ballasts actually sit in the space in front of the radiator, and the same could be done with the low beam ones anyway. In fact, I have one behind the airbox and one outside the battery. It helps to keep them coolish.

Edit: forgot the smiley before.

Thanks guys that answers all my questions, there was a post where someone was showing their new HID kit and someone said i guess that means no BFI for you then, so i thought that it took up too much room.

Thanks for your help

Sorry to hijack, David - what is the "insulated sticky rubber" that you used on your BFI, where abouts do you get something like that and what's it called, I could find nothing suitable with heat shielding when doing mine this weekend.......ended up using some corflute signage as a temporary measure

Yes, that is where I found mine.
