Biggest bastard you can fit in there Notice I did not use the plural. You only need one for battery positive. The negative can go to car body (no wiring is as thick as that!). Just make sure engine block/gearbox etc are properly connected to chassis. "0" gauge should be big enough. Especially for V8 starter. Perhaps charging problems can be overcome by running alternator regulator sense wire directly to battery; haven't tried that 'cos I've not had the problem. One car I know of had trouble with HID headlights not firing up properly at idle (a quick rev sorts that) and we eventually fitted one of those very large capacitors designed for audio in the engine bay which cured that problem completely (this was easier at the time 'cos I had a cap lying about; the regulator sense wire fix would have technically been better but not as easy to do).

Andrew; Mate more than likely around the same size as dia as ya thump this is the first time you will ever use thay saying; BY RULE OF THUMP/hehehehehe but that is around the size you will need check out fork lift suppliers (electric) that is about the size you will need ( which is thumb size cables
