The other day I came across this and thought I would share it with the rest of you guys:
Looks like just a nice neat soarer right? nice kit on it, vented bonnet and some cool volk rims.
Ok, so it's a bit more hard core inside with the cage, seat and other race style bits and pieces.
But the real shock was under the bonnet
That's right folks, it has a full R34 RB26DETT conversion complete with all the goodies like a V-mount intercooler set-up and a nismo hard pipe kit. not bad!! not bad at all.
Now for me this would be the ultimate as I currently drive a GTR and an Active Soarer so what a great idea to combine the two and just have one car! imagine the saving on rego and CTP
I have a few more pics if you guys are keen. So what do you think? Ultimate soarer or blasphemy?
c'mon, you know you want it!! It certainly is a unique idea in a soarer. although the japanese have been putting RB26s in everything with four wheels for a while now.
I have to say I love the RB26. a great engine and truly the jap performance grand daddy of them all. nothing beats the sound of a worked RB26 at full noise. Don't get me wrong I like the 1jz (for the money they are hard to ignore) and the 2jz are great too. but there truly is something special about a nice RB26.
That particular car is awesome too. So much effort gone in and it is (i think) a truly 'complete' car. looks hot and would go like a bat out of hell.

Burn the heretic!!!! burn it i say!!!!!! Why put a rb26 in and have to rebuild it every 200kms lol Ive seen another soarer with a rb26 in it before too, it was painted like leopard spots on the engine. 2JZ >>>>>>>>> RB26 2JZ = teh win!!!!!!11111one one
haha yeah I guess posting RB love on the ALSC is asking for trouble... what can I say drive a (nice) RB26 powered GTR and i'm sure you too will be hooked. they are a great engine, and tough too if treated right.
i do still love the 1 and 2 jays but i would choose the RB26. everyone has a different idea though. consider that my light tune GTR (stock turbos, stock dump pipes, stock intercooler) makes 250kw at the rear wheels I don't think many supras or soarers could make that through stock ic, stock dumps and turbos. but once the game is lifted to big mods the gap closes down a lot, but I still prefer the bore/stroke ratio of the RB for promoting high revs.
But i must digress as i can feel a "hey off topic" shout coming on, so i will close by saying i am still yet to see a soarer i want to own more than that one. I reckon a manual, RB26 soarer would be a very fun car...
oh, yeah the mines R34 is awesome. I was lucky enough to see it at Tokyo Autosalon earlier this year. Another one that sticks in my mind is the black HKS 34 with TO4Z kit and V-cam. simply insane.
Hehehhe yeah I've seen those pics before. What was more of a shock was finding out the car is owned by a lady driver heheh You don't see that very often! Althought I saw a girl in an R33 GTR fanging it down Botany Rd one time hehe

I'm not going to argue that a toojay can run 250rwkw with stock kit cos I can't confirm it (I drove a '96 Supra a while ago that sure felt like that sort of figure), I do argue that you can't run in excess of 600kw through a stock RB26 bottom end like you can on a toojay.
Sorry about the rant, back on topic...
I was gonna ask if the chick was the owner - wouldn't greatly surprise me. Why can't more chick's have that sort of interest in cars?
