This seems to be the place for this post, as it could possibly fall under many headings.
I have noticed that at the lowest point of the drivers footwell carpet, water appears to be pooling!!! I thought that when this happened last winter I just had forgot to wind my window up one day. Alas, the issue has returned to cause me mental anguish.
It is obviously not the heater core as 1 it is on the drivers side, 2 there's no muck in it - just clear water and 3 I've had the heater on during summer and there was no issue.
Could it be the fact that as I'm doortrimless at the moment that water is splashing through the holes on the inner door skin and landing on the carpet?

Yep. There is normally a panel of clear plastic stuck to the inside of the door to keep any water that gets past the windows seals from coming into the car.
Suggest replace it and check the door drain holes in the bottom edge.

Okily dokily then, replace the plastic it is. Funny you should say that actually, I was thinking of replacing that about 5 months ago, just never got around to it!

Might get on to that plastic stuff tomorrow, just noticed that nearly all the carpet is satched, along with a musty smell and a fogged up rear window. It's either that, or that post re soarer sex has got my baby all riled up!

Eh, details...
I'll just spray some anti-bac in there, that'l keep me going till I rip it out for the steza wiring next weekend. New one is on the way too. The current carpet has given me soooooooooo much grief, might just have to have me a bit of an 'ol fashioned carpet lynching when it comes out. That'll learn it!
