Oh yay my window decided to die today. Unfortunetly it goes down but not up *rain :-(*
wondering if anyone knows the part number for the plastic slide bit.

has happened to me three times already. I must be really hard on power windows.

I have yet to find a wrecker who will sell that little plasic thingo sepparate as it renders the rest of the assembly useless. After paying a hundred odd bucks each time I was fed up.

As a temporary fix I got some fine tie wire and a small drill and basically sewed the plastic clip onto the steel cable. Hasn't failed since(been three months). When it eventually does fail again I will be investigating buying new parts as second handies are as old as the ones being replaced.

Ben,,At a cost of ONLY $270 for a Brand New Assmbly..
Why bother with used ?
New will last you another 10 years odd.

My point exactly...but slowly learnt. When it next occurs I will buy new.

You're lucky my wife can't hear you saying "only $270". If I took "only $270" out of our family budget too often I'd be looking at a very, very cheap casket a lot sooner than I plan to.
