On a recent trip from Tamborine Mountain to the Sunshine Coast I used my fuel calculator and got close to 13kms per litre. I reckon on an outback flat road it would be no trouble for me to get 14.
Anyone done that?

I thought I was sitting on about that, when I was coming back from Geraldton... then the gauge went from 1/4 to WARNING! Then she stopped, and I had to walk to the servo.
Now I never trust the gauge below half.

The best I've managed was about 12.5 kms per litre on the run down to Canberra. I reckon 14 might be pushing it a bit. I do have a heavy foot though.

Yeh, I must admit, I was sitting close to the limiter where ever possible.

I usually use about 40L to do the 450km trip to Geraldton. So just over 11km/L.

Jeebus!
I think its time for new o2 sensors for me.

The best I've done (and my car is a good couple of hundred kgs lighter) is 9km/L.
Most of the time its closer to 8km/L on the open road, and around town its closer to 7km/L

My fuel gauge seems to be dead accurate.
I can go right down to the last 8 ltrs then put in 70 at the servo.

Hi Mike,

I have the V8 to.
I drove from gold coast to Bundaberg and only used half a tank.
But around town I use that all too quick.
V8's are made for long drives , expensive for short.

I easily get over 10km/L on the Motorway. Obviously as it goes in town it just goes so quick... But who cares thats just part of owning a soarer.
