Long time reader first time poster here. I have to thank you guys though, during the time ive owned my soarer I have found these forums a great resource.
Sadly, due to a change in plans, I am contemplating the sale of my 1992 V8 GT-L. I was just wondering what you guys think its worth. It's got 87,xxx km at the time of posting this.
Its not the best example, it was not looked after at all by the previous owner. Its almost roadworthy, and still drives very smoothly without any drama's.
To get a roadworthy it just needs: -Proper sized tyres(the ones on it have plenty of tread but are the wrong profile, i just borrowed a friends wheels/tyres for my rwc) -Power steering leak fixed(just the tube under the bonnet)
To get it back to its mint it will need: -New front suspension bushes -New transmition mount -Wheel allignment -New rear disk rotors -Front bar needs a respray, and theres afew stone chips on the car -EMV switches on for 2 secoonds then switches off
Now unlike other sellers, I do try to be honest when selling cars, I dont like people finding out after they have bought the car it's going to cost them alot more to fix it. So I am upfront with the issues. I've been using this car as my daily driver for the last few months, it's been a plesure to drive, but its time for me to move on to a brand new car.
In light of the issues, i was thinking $8k without RWC.
I know this post probaly isnt appropriate as a first post, but I would like some opinions on what you guys think its worth.

I guess it's worth what someone will pay for it. Personally I would'nt pay $8000 for a car thats not road legal, but then cars tend to be a bit cheaper in NZ.
My advice would be that Soarers are hard to sell, and it not being roadworthy will make it more difficult to sell. Get it roadworthy, and at least get the simple stuff like the wheel alignment done, then you'll have an easier time flicking it.

I'll get pictures up asap.
Its forest green with spruce leather interior. leather is in good condition apart from slight wear on the side of the drivers seat.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I really do appreciate the input.
I figured $8k would be resonable as the repairs according to quotes I have recieved will cost about $2-2.5k through workshops. Alot less if your willing to do the work yourself ofcourse.
When I was shopping(this is not an attack at anybody trying to sell their car at this time) i found the soarers around 10k to be fairly sketchy, so for the same price as a sketchy soarer, you could buy this and have it repaired and know you have a perfect car.
In theory anyway.. Generally the marketplace dosent agree!
