Thanks for the offer Kieran but ill be too depressed / hungover as im going to poke out tonight and drown my Soarer sorrows now cos i cant drive this weekend and im starting a 2 month FULLTIME promotion course (read - no weekends off) with work on Sunday morn at 8am BAH
Please take many pics and dont be afraid to introduce yourselves to eachother AND other soarer drivers down there (assuming there will be others) Let them know about Soarer Central and the ALSC.

Well, that certainly was an interesting trip home for me. Trent, Greg, Paul and Nathan might not think so. Thanks for hanging around guys! Looks like I'm going to be busy over the next week or so.
Travelling through one of the tunnels I smelt something funny, checked the temp gauge and it seemed fine. A short time later I see white swirls trailing my car and the temp gauge has almost hit the top. I quickly pulled off and shut down the motor, opening the bonnet to see steam billowing out of the cam cover and coolant all over the undertray. It seems that my water pump was not changed as the dealer had told me. Oh well, learnt a lesson the hard way. It still would had to have been done, just means the job has been brought forward a bit.
All of this happened about half an hours drive out of Byron. The NRMA towed me to the border for $17.60, cheaper than a taxi!! I had my car picked up on a car trailer to take it home. Thanks to all who helped me out!!

That sucks tim... im pretty happy i didnt break anything as it was always on the cards. Had few really good runs against some of the cars there. Was some of the best / fastest cars in qld out.
