Good to see you guys again :-)

On a side note, Morgans AFR's are not what is seen in the above graph. The on board wideband reads a full ratio richer. There is an exhaust leak somewhere towards the end of the system causing the erroneous sensor reading.

Hey Cihan,

Thanks for organising a very well run day .. it was great to see a good range of cars on the day ...

After seeing that Skyline run it makes one want to go the RB26 route if it wasn't for the expense of those suckers & reliability ...

Thanks again ..

Rob ..

PS .. Thanks also for the pic's that you put up ..

Was a good day, random how all those skylines, low lux's and drift cars turned up one by one in their little groups

Who's Ferrari and did it go on the dyno?

No worries Robert, my pleasure :-) It'd be interesting to see how well your new toy does with some more boost and a cleanup of those rich points light throttle to coming on boost. I'll try to get some vids up of your car - sounds oh so lovely lol

Easy done Daniel, looking at the graphs there are very healthy gains to be made in comparison to the lackluster toyota tune!

Thanks to everyone for turning up, despite the bitter cold im happy everything ran smoothly!

Thanks Cihan, it was good to meet you among others. I am so thrilled with my 145.6 on the dyno... translates to just shy of 200hp in the old money.

Let me rake in some cash and I'll give it to you for an Emanage etc... considering my car is stock there is so much room for improvement. With a bit of forced induction and end to end breathing, I can't see why it wouldn't lay well over 200kw on the dyno.

Glen, mate 200rwkw is the minimum i'd expect with a forced application - the original TD04 tt kit Peter Chriss ran made 212rwkw at 5psi on 96ron pump fuel with less than optimal mixtures. The new single kits will be
in efficiency past 280rwkw and the TT Pro kits will be in efficiency deep into the 350rwkw region with supporting flow mods.

I'll take you for a drive in the TT uzz31 development car when the new manifolds go on to see if that swings your vote towards turbocharging over comparably priced supercharger installations :-)

Even if you kept things NA, i dont see why 170-180rwkw isn't possible with breathing mods, quality headers an exhaust system and a good tune.

In relation to gains made, the etuner T and TT kits won't be very expensive at all. Consider that in an NA or S/C application you still need headers for optimal performance. In a turbo kit that's already factored into the kit price which will be roughly the same as an M90 installation and capable of 100rwkw more with a set of injectors :-)

One thing to say:

*)(&(#@*&$*(&#$)(*#$&_@#*@)#(@&*#(*)^@#&@#^*!!!!!!!!!

350kw on the turf? Nice. Serious man, down the track some time I think I might be throwing some cash at you. I think you've already swung my vote to some serious induction upgrades, but the only thing that stands in my way is money. A V8TT Soarer would definitely be a bloody hoot to drive! I've come to terms with the fact that my poor old UZZ31 will sell for a pittance, so bugger it... let's hot it up and I'll grow old and grey in the driver's seat. And in traditional Glen policy, do all the work underneath the panels and leave everything visible totally stock... except rims of course... that way, all those SS Commodore driving tools won't know what hit them.

Take me for a roll in your project car by all means... sort of like a "try before you buy" policy!

I wasn't originally going to turn up or get my car dyno'd, but I'm glad I did .. turned out to be a good turnout. Was good to finally meet some of you guys there.

Cihan, I've ordered those parts online I was emailing you about (E-Manage, VVT-i harness, injectors and fuel pump). Once I get the parts here and install the pump and injectors, I'll give you a buzz to organise to put in and tune the E-Manage. I gotta show Wafi what the VVT-i's can do hehe

Looking at your profile pic now makes a lot of sense Mark.

Just as I was leaving for lunch yesterday you rocked up and a mate said "who's that?" I replied "f**ked if I know..." haha, car looked good and I'll never forget the plates now.

Cheers.

I had a dream last night that we TT'd my V8. Screw it... lemme get out of Uni and start earning some real cash, and you can work the crap out of my car Cihan.

Lol i know the feeling Glen, no problems. The single turbo 1UZ manifolds are ready to rumble, we're ordering the final bits a pieces and tuning the development car in a couple of week, when it done i'll take you for a burn :-)

Mark, easily done mate - If you got the parts from greenline it shouldn't be too long now. Damn your car sounds good

Hi Cihan ..

I was wondering what sort of money range are these single turbo 1uz conversions going for ?

I have thought a few times about turboing my 1uz Mazda, but the trouble with mine is space restriction ?? ..

What's a safe RWKW you have found that you can get out of standard internals. eg, comp ratio etc ...

Thanks again ..

Cheers guys. Yeah I picked up the parts from Greenline, it was the cheapest I could find them and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Looks like the dyno day has enticed a few people to get some power out of their soarer!

Amen Wafi, a 350rwkw V8 would own! A sure sleeper... I had no intentions of modifying my Soarer until I saw what I have to work with. Considering mine is stock, I've got a good base of power to start with and the sky is the limit.

I've uploaded the video of my car on the rollers to Youtube, thanks to Wafi and his trusty camera... will post later when it's processed. Damn 3GP! All of my movie converters have a hissy fit when I try to swap it over to MPEG or AVI! Oh well... let Youtube sort it out.

It sounded MEAN on the dyno... that BFI did wonders for making it sound like it's actually got some grunt!

It's now up on Youtube! Take a squiz. Dyno vids are boring as batsh!t but it does sound pretty sweet for a stocko.

After it's played, links for a 1UZ-TT come up... had a look... 363rwkw at 14psi. You reckon we can beat that one day Cihan? It's on... I just need the money!

Haha I know man, all that noise is just from the BFI. Strange... I'm not complaining though. One thing about being the driver all the time, I never get to hear my car from the outside.

For now the old girl is going to stay stock as a rock. No point in spending money that's just going to be wasted on stuff that will get changed later down the track. But an exhaust would be nice... following Daniel Lee onto Eastlink was awesome! Wound my windows down and told Ozzy Osbourne to shut up for a second while I had a listen to Daniel's extractors... what a V8 note!

Cihan, I just got some of the parts delivered. I made sure I asked specifically for a VVT-i auto trans harness. The harness I got had a single piece of paper with a diagram that has "JZX100, 96.9 - 00.8, 1JZ-GTE, ECU 2" in the description. Is this the correct one? It didn't say anything about VVT-i on it so I'm a little concerned.

Mate it should say T-13 or T-16 on the front, JZX90 and JZZ30 are T-13 and the JZX100 vvti is T-16.

From your description that is the correct plugin :-)

When are the injectors going in?

As soon as I get the Supra TT fuel pump shipped, and a few other things, they'll be given to Barry to put in. So hopefully not that long then she's all yours for the tune.
