Hi guys,
just popped the bonnet and noticed that one of the big pipes off the a/c is sort of frozen? i mean it is covered in white ice like stuff,

i checked to see if the compressor is working and it activates when the button is pressed and the air inside the car is cold?

many thanks

I am more than qualified to answer this after MANY fridge breakdowns at work!!!

What you're seeing is ice, simple as that. As the gas looses its compression trough the system, it cools down, lots. As today was reasonably humid, any exposed metal in the system, being that cold, will cause the moisture in the air to condensate and then freeze.

Simple eh?

It means it's working.

That's simple.
