Ok I have done a few searches but did not find what I was after.

Now the LCD on my aircon unit it stuffed. That is not why I started this thread though. When the LCD has bleed out should the air con/climate control still work? My unit had no power going into it at all. So is this normal or is something wrong going on here?

Also what fuse is the air con unit power one. I pulled apart the car only to find the fuse box doesnt have a cover on it.

So any help will be greatly appreciated.
And another thing is that when my lights are on (at night) there are no lights on the the dash (shifter, air con unit).

So any help will be appreciated.
I think I should have put this in the electrical section.

Yeah mate, the A/C unit should still be able to work with a bleeding screen. Maybe the plugs at the back aren't plugged in?

As for the gear shift lights, take off your actual gear shifter (two screws once you pull down the shroud) then you should be able to pull off the shift plate. Check to see if the plugs are all connected properly.

Now this has me wondering. There must be some electrical problems here. Either been wired by a butcher or a faulty fuse.

What is the fuse for the central console/dash?

Search "fuse locations", though the search will now be devalued another point as it will find this post also.

I already looked at that one.

I think my fuse box is different to that. Is that possible?

I drew a rough sketch but the fuses where not in the same position. So would it defiantly be the fuses or could it be crude wiring.

Never seen a fuse box with a different layout.
Have you checked all fuses in BOTH fuse boxes?
Check that all the plugs are plugged where they should be in the large white plastic housing under the head unit/ A/C bracket.

The Fuse box in the right hand side of the drivers side is what I had a look at. But it looked strange. I was looking for the 4th fuse I think (can remember) but I didnt know where to start from. Might need to go have another look when I have some time. But seeing as I have a Law exam in 6hrs I will leave it for now.

Thank for your help guys. Will get back to you soon.

Ok

A 7.5 and 15 fuse was gone but that was not the end of my problems. The black and white wire was not earthed property but a bit of wiring fixed that. Now my air con works as does my dash. Go figure.

So after a lot of blood sweat and swearing I am almost done with the electrical friggen ***** ***** side of the car. Just need to fixed the LCD on the air con unit and then it will be mission accomplished.
