In the parts catalogue, it's called a VALVE, COOLER EXPANSION, and the listed number for a Soarer is 88515 - 24020 or 88515 - 24021 5/1991 - 1/1994.

88515 - 24031 1/1994 - 12/2000.

ps: Sorry Christian, I didn't click until you put the part number up, which is a Crown one by the way........probably dosen't matter anyway.

Lynn

1995 V8 Soarer should have min.80kg to max 0.90kg of R134a refrigerant.

There should be a sticker on the passenger underside of the bonnet giving you that information.

Additional information for all:- 1992 ('32) had .950kg of R12, since upgraded to .350kg of HR12(Hy-Chill) and it is mega-cold ( even in 39 degree Melbourne heat yesterday)

Check the prices from Toyota, if they are any higher than $70, don't bother.

Remove your TXV and check the Denso part number on it as it should be written. Ring a few places around Australia that are denso distributors, or places that sell A/C Parts, it will cost about $60.

Alternatively I might be able to provide you a TXV Valve if the part number matches the ones I have.

would sc300 one fit?

http://www.genesisautoparts.com/product/con1009Xc9354a.htm

You can get generic TXV Valves from Ashdown Ingram that fit.

Castle Hill toyota charge $160 for a TX Valve
shipped from japan, takes about 3 weeks. What a rip

You can get SC300/400 TX Valves from ebay.
I Purchased a TX Valve + Drier Receiver combo for
$20 + $35 express postage from the states.
