Hey guys,

Well just ran the A/C Diagnostics and got a code 23 and 41 and they are as below:

23 - *Open in pressure switch circuit
*Abnormal refrigerant pressure

41 - Air mix damper position sensor value does not change even if ECU opperates air mix servo motor

Code 43, the second point would suggest it could mean that there is a leak and the gas pressure is below minimum but I'm not sure what Open in pressure switch circuit means.

I'm guessing the 41 means that a motor is dead and isn't moving a flap. Does anyone know of any documentation that shows where and what it is?

Sick of no air con considering we are in summer haha.

I found online a full service manual in PDF format. It was free and I have kept a copy.

It's 81Mb, so too big to post in email.

if anyone can provide details on how to upload (FTP) this to a location on the website, I'll be happy to oblige by posting a copy.

Thats awesome, i'm sure most people on this site would love a copy. There are a number of free file hosting websites around that would be fine to upload it to until one of the mods can find it a perminant place on SC.

I managed to get a copy so if people would like me to upload it I can.

Bad news, the compressor is leaking and they reckon around $1100 for the full job of new compressor replacing it and fixing some of the fittings as well as the air mix servo motor... looks like I have some spare parts to source.

You can get the compressor rebuild for $300 or $400.

Please do share the file though.

I have a full copy of the soarer manual in english, seems to cover pretty much everything including 700 some pages just on the engine. It seems to have several copies of the same info in different formats and languages, I will weed it out and put it up as a torrent if anyone is interested.

Very keen, I bet everybody will be after this. Much better than paying for a "Soarer Bible" that only has a few translated pages.

I will list the sections it covers in english:

*A/C System - 143 pages
*A340E (1UZ-FE) Auto - 120 pages
*A340E (2JZ-GE) Auto - 115 pages
*Body Electrical System - 637 pages :-O
*Body - 131 pages
*Brake System - 230 pages
*Clutch - 19 pages
*1UZ-FE Engine - 732 pages (gone through a bit of it and far out I wish I had this before)
*Electrical Wiring Diagrams - 52 pages
*Intro - 46 Pages
*Index - 6 pages
*Manual Trans - 72 Pages
*Propeller Shaft - 36 Pages
*Supplemental Restraint System - 130 pages
*Suspension and Axel - 131 Pages
*Steering - 172 Pages

It seems to cover pretty much everything you could need to know about the car.

As for being available in english the car was sold over in the U.S. remember :-)

Evan there is no section in english on the 1JZ but everything else should still pretty much apply. I have found some sections in japanese on the 1J which do have some english but mostly just wiring diagrams and plugs etc.

All up even if you ditch the japanese pages it comes in at 479mb as it is scans of the actual manual rather than a original PDF document.

As these are scans of a manual im not sure the whole legalities to putting it up for download etc. Do any mods have any thoughts? If I put it up I think I would put it up as a torrent as long as you guys would keep seeding it for at least a while, that way we don't have to host it on a server but it does mean we will need people to keep it going.

David PM Sent.

Also regarding the code you are getting referring to the abnormal gas pressure in the A/C System, I believe this means that the gas pressure is too high.

Possible Causes

- Condensor Dirty inside, preventing sufficient heat exchange resulting in high pressures

- Condenser Dirty outside, such as leaves and dirt preventing airflow thus insufficient heat exchange resulting in high pressures

- Condenser fan not operating properly, or not operating at all, preventing proper airflow through condenser.

- Too much gas in system, resulting in high pressures

- Moisture in System.

- Defective Thermal Expansion Valve.

- Clogged Receiver/Drier.

- Bent refrigerant line.
