I'm getting a whining sound when my ac is on and I'm at low revs. Some times it's louder than others and sometimes it's not there at all. Does this sound like my compressor?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Get it checked out by a aircon specialist. I wouldn't use it until you do, if the compressor is on its last legs and fails it will send metal shards throughout the system.$$
This happened to my v8.

The bearings could be worn out, or you have a low amount of oil in the system.

It could also be the bearings on the pulley that are worn out, these tend to get real loud.

I would think if you don't have enough oil in the system it could be noisy for a while on startup.
