All is fine when i add to a topic but twice now my 'new topic' post has just not materialized!?!
Any idea as to why that is?

Jonah, just make sure you are not stopping at the preview screen. Even if posts are deleted for SMS-speak, it doen't happen that fast, often not for hours in fact.
