looking to convert my auto 1g to manual using a w58, is anyone selling a 1g manual halfcut? or manual packages? id rather find a halfcut or package than sourcing all individual parts!

there was a manual conversion package for the gz20/ga70 supra/soarer in there in the classifieds section

ok ive been getting quotes from shops and looking for private ads, if im gonna go to the trouble of manualising my 1g, it seems to be a better option to buy a 1j jza70 manual halfcut? im not looking for a powerhouse car but id like a comfortable 230-250rkw. From what ive been led to believe, its very costly to modify the 1g to this stage? whereas the 1j would support this power quite comfortably with a few bolt on mods?

Who has done this conversion and was it worth it? if i buy the jza70 halfcut, what other parts will i need to source?

Any help would be awesome, thanks

Man that’s the best bet get a manual jza70 halfcut you wont need anything else
Everything you need you can get from the half cut and everything bolts straight in no modifications necessary
But to get to 250kw u will need a stand alone ecu and either a big single turbo or have to modify the stock turbos from ceramic wheels to steel wheels and hiflow them at the same time
Go to the site I mentioned before lots of people have done this conversion there
The only hard part is sourcing the halfcut which is very hard to get and the wiring

ok thankss dude, i got 3 quotes from jap importer shops, all around the 4000 mark for 1j manual halfcut, all compression tested, so basically im aiming to save up 5000 at least, if i find a cheaper haflcut along the way, got more money to spend on mods . does 4000 seem reasonable? i know wiring is defintly going to be the hardest part!

yeah they are around that much
the worst part is trying to get them as they arent always available will be a bonus if the halfcut comes already modified with some goodies
while •• at it swap the brakes too as they are bigger in the jza70 ive been told
