| Ran an 11.99 last night, couldn't quite get to Daniels time. The track wasn't prepped well and was fairly slippery. I need a new set of MT's as well, they have no tread marks left. I have done a 1.67 60ft, but couldn't get under 1.8 last night. Next time.

| Congrats mate, I love seeing threads like this, here is another good example of the MT's doing GREAT GREAT work. If I were you I'd be getting my car on the dyno, tuned properly to the limit, start ripping some weight out of it (seats / spare wheel) and head back there, Daniels record is well within your grasp. Good work. |

| Morgan, he's running a plug-in Emanage Ultimate with a power friendly map from myself 115.385 mph = Biggest i've personally seen in a Soarer with std turbo's and no NOS. Too bad we're not tuning it completely Jeff. |

| Cihan - Not wrong, again apologies for not getting to brisbane. I ran the 1.05 tune first with the exhaust cam at 5 degrees retarded and the intake at 0, I could only get a 12.3 and 2.0 sec 60 ft. Then advanced the intake cam 2 degrees and got a 12.1 and 1.8 60 ft. Went back to the 1.03 tune and did a 11.99. It's still got more in it as it is running way to rich (50 litres for 250km on the road). |

Cant wait to see what you run Jeff with some new MT's Its gonna be very close times i think. Its very Impressive times for Standard Turbos. Congrats Jeff, Awesome time mate. |

Thanks for that Cihan,I would love to see what results you could get from a real tune on a dyno. If I can run this from a generic tune, the mind boggles. A shameless plug for Cihan I know but you have helped me out a lot with tunes and put up with the endless "what's best" questions. Guys make sure if you make use of Cihan's knowledge and tunes from the net that you pay something for that service. After talking with Cihan on the phone today and finding out that he is doing a double degree and helping out and tuning our cars in his "spare time" I am doubly impressed. Ask for his account details and sling him some money now and again, otherwise we might find ourselves a losing an invaluable asset to the Soarer community. Aaron - the Predator is great, at the drags last night you couldn't touch the radiator but the intercooler was cool to the touch ob "both" sides. I actually had to run the car for a while before runs to get the engine up to operating temp. I think with a tune and some new rubber and maybe a 3200 stally I can get down another .2 - .3 sec, but I think that's going to be pushing it. |

| Some vids from last night. I wasn't trying to get of the line quickly, just trying to stall it up as much as possible. Still hammered the guy in the 6 litre SS ute, went passed him about half track both times. He had drag radials on and about 280kw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PA82PwB5Ecw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBpN7cfvHCQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKLYVZ4-Wsk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrFrOfInUfM |

| Daniel, you're only getting faster to mate. With the EMB in and tuned, 250rwkw+ is possible on pump fuel as seen with Morgans car (258rwkw @ 18-20psi) and Sami's car (250rwkw @ 20psi). Thanks Jeff, i think some more intake advance and some weight loss is worth a couple of tenths to you mate Get those dyno graphs going and i'll make adjustments where necessary. Lets see how low we can get without using giggle gas.. Daniel Clarke - 11.84 @ 114.9mph Jeff Bedsor - 11.99 @ 115.4mph |

| Rob - Yes I have a Torsen LSD and an MV 1.5 shift kit. Daniel - Thanks for that, it will be interesting to see how far we can go. Hopefully my turbos hold out, I was running about 22 psi to get the 11.99. Cihan - How much can you go with the intake advance? Talking to some of the racers at the drags, they reckon I should go for a bigger stall, which should help to get the 60 ft down to 1.5 or 1.6. I'm struggling to get 3200rpm at the moment, it starts to push me over the line. |

| 22psi.. Wow 3200rpm should be heaps to get a decent 60'... I wouldnt go anymore than a 3000rpm.. You will find this will possibly see up to 3800-4000 on the stall... 2800rpm should be enough in my opinion. This will get up to 3500rpm, which will be heaps Any chance you could send me some pics of the Bonnet mods you have made? |

| You'll find its spiking to 22psi in the midrange and dropping off to 20 or less in the top end. I found over ~5500rpm and over 17-18psi there is no more than 2-3kw more atw pushing 21-22psi. At around 4000rpm up to 25psi makes a difference. IMO set the gains higher and let it taper back down to 19psi. I will warn ya'll, they aren't going to last long at 20psi/250rwkw. Best off dial the intake cam in 4-5degrees advance, retard exhaust 0-1 degree Jeff. Std cams retard exhaust -5 to -6 degrees. |

I would be great to get on a decent track, would have to be worth another .2 sec. Heres a couple of pics to show you what we have to put up with.
Surface of the burnout area, no wonder my MT's get chewed up.
There are some major bumps in the slow down area of lane 2, just to make things interesting. Cihan - I will give that a go on the weekend, can't wait for the next meet, unfortunately it's another month away. |

| Christian, Willowbank is downhill very much in the last part of the track, and if it is uphill for the first part (I'm not sure that is correct) it definitely isn't much. Traction would probably be better at Willowbank and would make far more difference than any apparent rise. |

Is the capitals having a go at me or others? I always knew it wasn't easy, but I'm working my way down each time, it's just a bugger we have to wait a month or more between meets up here. Daniel, what pressure do you run your MT's at, a mate with an 11 sec Torana talked me into dropping them to 14psi and then check them before each run. It did make a difference in the 60 ft's. |

| No worries mate, it's a bit hard to read what's meant with some things. Bloody internet. I ran in the Super Street comp on Sat night as well, didn't win a race as I was just trying to go as fast as I could. Had lots of fun though, being the only jap car in SS is a bit daunting, but the V8 boys are great, very helpful as well. At least till I start beating them. |

| that 60ft is pretty bloody good actually! Interesting that Daniel's 60ft is .12 quicker than yours Jeff yet you are only .05 behind him with basically the same trap speeds. Seems the double the ET drop in 60ft doesn't apply when comparing between cars some time. If it holds true, your ET could be around 11.70@115mph with a 1.64 60ft like Daniel. That would be bloody incredible! |

| My mate John was in the SS final, he lost by .038sec. It is unbelievable how close some of the experienced guys can run to their nominated ET. The first race I dialed in a 11.9 and ran a 12.00, the other guy ran a 11.23 on a 11.1 dialin so I was closer. Trouble was he did a .43 reaction time to my .73 and to really top it off he came past me a hundred metres from the finish and backed off, then still won. I still have a bit to learn. great fun though. |

| You will find alot of SS guys cars can run high 10's.. SO they generally " sand bag " it near the finish line to stay within their nominated times! If your dead serious... WInd the boost right back! Run 12.7-12.8's and let them do the chasing! Making them wait on the start line for that extra second causes breakouts Then the pressure is really on them! Run less boost, and dont stall it up! Just mash the throttle to cut good lights, as good lights and consistent times win races, Not breaking PB's every time . ( i know its a hard choice) |
