Hey guys,

I'm off to Heathcote raceway on Sunday. Hopefully its not raining like it is now.

Last time I went, the car was pretty much stock. Although it had no cat back exhaust, and some heavy 18" wheels. (20-25kg without tyres)
I ran 14.41 @ 98mph. This was with 155rwkw.
The tyres I had were Nankang NS-2.

I now have 3" exhaust from the turbo y piece, hi flow cat, splits into twin 2.5" pipes with hi flow mufflers. Front mount intercooler, cut open the front of the airbox, fidanza adjustable exhaust cam gear set to -4 degrees, boost controller for booooooooooooost, and an emanage ultimate. All tuned by Cihan to get me 230rwkw.
I have my stock 16" wheels on, with Goodyear Eagle F1s.
I dont have LSD or a shiftkit.

I am PRAYING for a real high 12. But I'm thinking a 13 would be more realistic??

What does everyone think I'll run? As I said I'll be going on Sunday to find out, and will post results back up here.

Here is my dyno sheet from yesterday.

Let me know what you think I'll run!!

Lower your tyre pressure down to like 20psi, should be able to run a mid 12.

Id say 12.9-13.1 @ 108-109mph with a 1.9 60'. Drop your tyres down to 20psi in the rear . No lsd or shift kit, i doubt a mid 12 is acheaivable.

I would say, around
13.1@107mph IMO without a shift kit.

It was having trouble with detonation during tuning so torque is about 20% lower than it could be, but it should do a lot better than last time.

For the record it made 233rwkw on shootout mode.

I think about 12.9-13.3 @ 107-110MPH, it all comes down to your 60' as you know.

Just make sure you rape that Pulsar! :-)

What would a supercharged V8 get with the same KW@ wheels + 1.5 shift kit (auto) and typical performance fruit ?

well im back

started off real getting low 14s, then 13.9, then 13.8. i was tempted to go home!

after that i started to use the handbrake to stall it up more without the wheels spinning and managed a best of 13.2 @ 111mph. 2.09 60'.
The MPH is a bit odd, as I looked at my speedo when I crossed the line and it was at 175 when I glanced, which is 108mph. I also got a 13.3 before that and my mph was 105.98.
Heathcote has been a bit funny when it comes to mph readings sometimes.

I really, really REALLY need a shiftkit. The gear changes are sooooo slow. I took plenty of cars off the line, but as soon as it changed gear the other guy would start gaining on me.

So shift kit will be in before next 1/4 mile race.

I didnt really have much problems with traction, my goodyear eagle f1s performed very good. However quite a bit of those tyres are now splattered on my side bumper and the inside of the wheel arch.

And I beat all the turbo pulsars that were there

12s should be in my reach with a shift kit!!

COngrats dude :-) Would be surprised to see the 111mph to be true if it was 105-106 most of the time otherwise.

Shift kit that thing and run a 12.9 !

As for the rubber under guard... All i can say is i WONT get ANY rust in that area for maybe 30 years ! LOL.

111mph seems high as Daniel Mentioned but a 13.2 is still a very good time and quicker than any 70k HSV or FPV is standard form. The shift kit will help you into or very close to the 12's. Its now that every tenth of a second gets a bit harder but is still just as fun.

An LSD will only help if your spinning, get some MT/s first.
Daniel's car is not only putting out the numbers (257rwkw with stock converter) but he knows how to launch the car properly, I am hoping he will drive my car this week and see how much better he can do on my
12.8@108.8mph.

12.8 is an awesome time.
only dif between my mods and yours is i have the factory Y piece between the turbos, and i have no shift kit.

Hopefully when I go out next mine will run around 12.3, I just need to stall it up harder and improve my 60ft times. Mine dynoed at 253.9rwkw last week but the power was coming on too late so I have made a few more changes to the timing and cam gear adjustments. Its all fun and games

The stock convertor will do the job with ease. Just need some good rubber and learn how to get some decent rpm and boost out of the hole!

The trick to running 11's? SOrry champ, that i wont disclose. It took alot of time and practise and different mods to get it all working.

Me hopefully
I put some new coil packs in which removed the big missing problem I had at 6000rpm. Unfortunately I only have one more chance on the 21st to try and beat the record. Hopefully get a proper tune on the dyno with a bit of race fuel as well. So bloody close.....

Not me, 100shot of NOS is on the cards once I beat the record. That should get me down to low 11's or high 10's. I don't really see much point in going to a big single when we are faster than most with stock twins. If I blow them it will only cost me another $400 or so to get going again. I will probably take mine of the road next year and make a full time drag car out of it. If the cops pull me up now there are just too many defects that they could get me for.

Ahh, Awsome. IM hearing what ya sayin bout twins vs single tho...

Its hard to keep a quick street car on the roads all the time. For the reasons you mention ( defects ). Once you pull it off the road, you should chuck it up in the Track Car section :-)
