| So I nicked the pressure cleaner from work and a tin of WD-40 to clean both my cars and do the engine bays. I thought because I was doing this I would do some before and after photos to give members who haven't done this before some inspiration to clean their engine bays I did and took photo's of both the soarer and supra... Enjoy !! First the Soarer - Before
 And after
A lot of people are scared to take to their engine bay with a pressure cleaner due to water getting in places its not meant to go, all you have to do is place a towel over the spark plug covers and your fine, just dont aim directly at them and swift movements around components. CRC it all first, Spray, allow to dry and then CRC all over again. Looks mint |

| Wow stunning difference - looks like showroom! haha I have done engine bays a few times with engine degreaser and low pressure spray, smells funny for a few hours but never had any problem with the engine running, like you say, just keep away from important spark plugs, and swift movements over things, no direct pressure. Looks mint - might have to do mine! |

| Nope, it being annoying... I have resized it 3 different times, tried moving to a seperate folder, tried doing a new image... it just refuses to do the After shot of the supra.... Oh well, the Soarer turned out better anyway |

| Great job Ben, looks really good I might just try the WD40 instead of degreaser this weekend on my 1JZ. Looks like it gives the plastics and hoses more of a shine too. |

| Ben, there is no way the forum can manufacture images that happen to be the same as the wrong ones on your PC, so something weird is happening at your end I am afraid. Nice pics that did upload though |

You did inspire me to give it a clean, Ben, but I don't think mine turned out as shiny as yours. I just used WD40, an old toothbrush and degreaser where necessary.

| When I bought it in April 08, it looked like this. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. and a photo from the other day No other car I've owned gets as dusty under the bonnet as the Soarer. With the exception of the above photo, I've given up on keeping the engine clean. |

| i know what you mean, its horrible haha. Using CRC or silicone spray dosnt help though as the dust is attracted to it, it may look nice, but after a couple drives your back to square 1. They do get horrible dusty in the engine bay, which is a bugger when you try and keep it sparkling, I would of thought it would stay quite clean with all the under engine shields etc |
